Becoming a Christian involves more than intellectual and emotional assent. I may “believe” that Abe Lincoln was our 16th president, but that belief does not require any commitment. Biblical faith can be thought of as the same kind of faith you exercise when you submit to general anesthesia and major surgery. It is by faith that you come to Christ for salvation.
In order to become a Christian, you must honestly face the claims of Jesus Christ and believe that He is God, that He died for your sins and rose again, and that He wants to come into your life and be your Savior.
